Artificial Intelligence in HR Artificial intelligence is already being used in various different ways while it is constantly evolving. AI-driven chatbots are already being used to for example gather candidate information to filter out applicants without recruiter involvement. Even more reason to stand out and call if someone wants to stand out from the sea of job applications companies get. Payroll processing is also being automated, perhaps for the benefit of employees. No more human error in payroll processing. If AI can be harnessed to do some HR tasks more effectively, it might free up some time for HR to truly focus on their employees wellbeing.  Benefits of AI are of course much in increased efficiency and therefore more money saved for companies. Skills that are needed by HR professionals can obviously be role-specific, but there are a variety of different skills and traits that come handy across the board when talking about a HR professionals skillset. Soft skills are one those things that come in handy pretty much in every role and they can make a huge difference when comparing to someone without them. Everyone has their own unique sound and style of speech, however focusing on the relationship with whomever you are speaking with is key. Creating a connection, active listening, maintaining rapport and being able to explain are all part of good soft skills. They come in handy, whether yo u are coaching, making a first impression or helping to resolve a conflict. Exploring the difference in HR roles between o rganizations of different size and industry Different companies have different needs across the board depending on their size or industry. One of the most obvious differences is that in a company that employs a large number of employees there has to be processes to manage such a large workforce. This automatically means that the structure of the HR has to be different versus a smaller company and vice versa. The difference in the HR processes is also affected by the industry. Different responsibilities for HR workers and different policies that need more focus. Companies of different industries have to focus on making sure they operate within the different laws and regulations that are relevant for that industry. While roles and responsibilities may differ between companies, the fact that HR is about people remains the same.
